In just over two hours, this tour covers over 30 points of interest and 15 sites on the National Register of Historic Places that were involved in these historic events. You will see places where the Green Mountain Boys lived, met (and drank), camped and planned their victories. The tour leaves from Manchester and covers about 20 miles between Manchester and Bennington, Vermont. The route covered is the basic route taken by Ethan Allen marching north from Bennington and by John Stark and the Green Mountain Boys going south to the Battle of Bennington. The route includes two covered birdges and other scenic sites in the Shires of Vermont. Your guide will be Dick Smith, author of the best selling book "The Revolutionary War in Bennington County".
