Close your eyes for a moment and imagine it's the summer of 1609. France has dispatched an ambitious young sailor, explorer, cartographer and artist by the name of Samuel de Champlain to discover what lies beyond the horizon.

Now open your eyes, and it's 2009, four hundred years later. Join us in the year long celebration of Vermont's Quadricentennial and learn about Samuel de Champlainís historic voyage of the lake that would bare his name forever. Come discover Lake Champlain this year.

The Spirit of Ethan Allen III, Green Mountain Railroad, and ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain are teaming together to offer a special Quadriecentennial Waterfront Adventure. Experience and learn first hand about the Lake, the Land and the People of the region. Embark on Samuel de Champlainís journey four hundred years ago. We invite you to experience Burlingtonís only daylong waterfront adventure.
